How Do I Set Up My Own Tournament?
STEP ONE:
Define your purpose and goals with one of our Tournament Coordinators.
Lets figure out the who, what, when, where
and why of your event.
Who and Why?
Which organization or mission do you want to support? Figuring out the "Who" and "why" of your event creates a strong foundation to get started!
What?
Figure out the "What" of your event. Outline your event size, how many golfers/teams do you want.
When & Where?
One of the more important questions to define is the when and where. Figure out the time of year you want your event and the location. This will narrow down what courses you can contact to host your event.
STEP TWO:
Secure the course
Now that you have defined the when & where of your event, lets find a course. Find out what courses are in your area and give them a call. Generally you should contact them 6 to 9 months prior to your estimated event date. Some courses may be booked during peak seasons so ensure you are flexible on the date of your event.
STEP THREE:
Set registration & pricing
Once you secured a course they will let you know what their pricing is. Use this metric to figure out how much to charge players or foursome groups for your event. Decide if an early bird discount works for your tournament or not.
STEP FOUR:
Create Sponsorship Packages
Design your sponsorship packet (PDF) or flyer to send to businesses for their support.
Work with our design team to create a website to accept payments and to help market your sponsorship levels / player passes.
Have fun with this! Name your sponsorship levels to something that connects to the organization your tournament is for.

Start promoting your tournament 5 to 6 months prior.

STEP SIX:
Final Logistics
(2-3 weeks out)
It's almost time for your event! Time to get the last few items together to ensure the day goes by smoothly. Being prepared in advance saves a headache on the day of.
